The Enhanced Combat Lab is an upgraded version of the original Combat Lab, spanning the levels of 21-25. These build upon the previous levels, adding various new improvements. While the building is the same, the benefits of the Enhanced Combat Lab levels are far greater.

img_4092

The Combat Lab upgrades themselves largely increase the boosts granted, shown above. However, at level 22 the Combat Lab introduces a Disassemble Enhance Refund. When disassembling an enhanced item, the lab refunds 10% of the Spare Parts spent on the equipment’s enhancement. These Spare Parts may then be allocated for use on new gear.

Enhanced Gear

img_4093

One of the more notable features of the Combat Lab is Gear Enhancing. With this, gear is enhanced to reach a higher boost than it originally comes with. The new Combat Lab levels allow for a greater increase in a piece of gear’s level, now reaching a maximum of 20. This is a dramatic increase, and it shows. As an example, the Ultimate Grand Champion Gear can now supply up to 175,000% Troop Attack, 350,000% Rally and Control Point Health and 175,000% Rally and Control Point Defense.

While this article does cover the new Combat Lab levels, there is a full guide to the basic Combat Lab.

Victorious Titles

If you are familiar with the control point, have friends in high places, or spend time in chat, you have more than likely  encountered a player bearing a Title. Titles are unique “tags” that are displayed in chat and over the base. Each Title offers varied benefits, whether a boost or a debuff. To be able to assign Titles, an alliance must take over a control point. When the control point is no longer contested, the alliance leader that owns the point is given the ability to designate players with titles. Each Title can only be applied to one player at a time, and only one Title per player. Titles last for as long as they are granted and can be swapped at any time, however they are only available as long as the CP is held. The titles will vary depending on the control point (Head of State, Warlord, or at the Global Control Point, Supreme Commander).

Utilizing Titles

Titles are more powerful than most realize. When you think about it, only one person can adorn any given title per control point. In the case of Head of State or Warlord granted titles, the exact boost received can only be matched by one person in any other state. With a Supreme Commander title, no one else in the game can match that same free bonus. This means that if you match your opponent in overall boosts, you gain an edge with the Title benefits they can’t get. In the case of a maxed out base, Titles are also able to surpass the current game research/commander boost maximum, making them an even greater force to be reckoned with.

As stated earlier, each Victorious Title and Dishonored Title offers its own… special perks. Victorious Titles can have debuffs in exchange for greater boosts (see daredevil), the same way Dishonored Titles can grant some positive boosts with the negative. Remember that Titles and the boost given by them show up on the player profile of the recipient. One must be mindful of what Titles are useful for and which are dangerous to go up against, so all of them are explained below.

Rebel Tactics Research

A new research tree has been introduced to the game, called the Rebel Tactics tree. You can find it with all the other research, in the research facility. The lower levels of the tree are cheap so most players will be able to access it. It costs no specialist restricted research files- only regular research files are required. It is recommended that all players (even farmers) look at this tree because it gives large boosts to attacking rebel targets.

As you can see from level one alone, rebel attack is boosted by 20,000%, with even higher boosts at greater levels. The research looks costly in resources, but with new packs offering trillions (1000 billion) of each resource, the lower levels are quite manageable.

large-boosts

Benefits of the Research

As the game tells you, there are numerous boosts- ranging from increases in rebel attacking energy to control point health boosts. A picture says a thousand words, so the below pictures from in-game summarise it nicely.

rebelboosts1
Part 1 of all the available boosts
Part 2 of all Rebel Tactics boosts
Part 2 of all Rebel Tactics boosts

New boosts introduced are:

  • Deployment sabotage- Enemy deployments coming to your base will be slowed down by up to 100% if you max this research out. It means you have more time to prepare before being attacked.
  • Rebel boosts modifiers-Increase the percentage boost you receive when you activate Elite Rebel Target Boosts.

So you can see an example, here is the percentage boosts for different levels of Rally and Control Point Health. Don’t forget, this stacks with all the other health boosts you currently have, but only applies at the Control Point, not at bases.

rallycphealth

Why research it now?

Purchasing a £79.99 pack nets you a zero speedup cost token for Rebel Tactics research. The pack also gives you the latest research gear- the Innovator’s set – which actually reduces research resource as well. When stacked with zero speed up cost, this means the tree is cheaper than it would have been previously. It also gives you the complete legendary Ultimate Grand Champion 2017 set which you could use to give your state the edge in the ongoing Battle League Challenges.

There is currently also a new extreme challenge based on this tree- Race to Rebel Targets Research. Large prizes will be awarded depending on the points you earn from progressing in this tree. rebel-tactics-race

Big players will find this research essential, particularly for the huge control point boosts, and general troop attack, defence and health boosts.

Commanders can now advance past level 70, all the way up to Commander Level 75. These new commander levels unlock an insane amount of boosts, as well as a number of new commander supports. Level 71 – Rebel Skills

Commander Attack III (50,000%), Energy Cost Reduction III (5%)

Level 71

Troop Defense VI (2,500%), Attack vs Battle Marked Target (10,000%), Commander Production Support (Boosts production output)

Level 72

Embassy Defense (2,500%), Troop Attack and Accuracy (20,000% Troop Atk, 2,000% Acc.), Mobile Ops Ordnance Damage Support (Strengthens ordnance damage in Mobile Ops)

Level 74

Troop Attack vs Base (100,000%), Troop Accuracy (3,000%), Serum High Range Boost (Makes Serums more potent)

Level 75

Rally and Control Point Attack, Defense, and Health (150,000% Attack, 200,000% Health, 100,000% Defense), Troop Armor Piercing (6,000%), Support Self Multiplier (Doubles supports given by allies)

Heroic Commendation

img_3968

Commander Levels 71-75 require an all new commendation, the Heroic Commendation. Each progressive commander lever requires a greater amount of commendations, and mass amounts of commander XP to get to the next level. Heroic Commendations are “earned” through sales. One can expect them to get considerably cheaper over time, as with all new releases.

Level 10 Rebel Targets

Recently, developers introduced a new top level of rebel target, level 10. These rebel targets spawn in the control point forest, so keep in mind your shield will drop if you teleport near one to attack it. New gear was released concurrently to assist with defeating them, seen below.

rebel10

New Gear sets (all stats when gear is fully enhanced, with a full set bonus active)

Ultimate Grand Bounty Hunter’s Gear set: +1m% commander attack, +100% critical chance, +29.15% rebel defense debuff, +140% energy regeneration, +769,200 max energy, +250% commander deployment speed

Someone with almost maxed out Ultimate
Someone with almost maxed out Ultimate Grand Bounty Hunter gear

Grand Bounty Hunter’s Gear set: +110k% commander attack, all other boosts same as Ultimate Grand set

Bounty Hunter’s Gear set: +25k% commander attack, all other boosts same as Ultimate Grand set

These gear sets are only available through purchases, with the Grand and Ultimate sets only being obtainable through creating them in the Armory, similar to the Champion 2017 Gear sets which were released previously. The materials to craft are obtainable from Bounty Hunter 2017 Mystery Crates, and to enhance gear from Bounty Hunter 2017 Enhancing Mystery Crates.

Requirements

To attack these rebel targets you will need to have researched level 10 rebel targets in the Commander Research tree. It is at the bottom of the tree, so you will need to have researched the preceding levels of rebel targets as well.

researchfilesreq

The research requires 5000 Rebel Level 10 Restricted Files; these can be obtained through buying the largest pack Mobile Strike offers or through the Black Market for a limited time remaining for 20m black market credits.blackmarket10files

Please note that buying the largest pack will likely include the Bounty Hunter Gear set, so if you are looking to kill these new rebels it makes sense to buy a pack so you can obtain the files and gear simultaneously.

Rewards

The actual rewards from individual attacks are small, but the main prize from these rebels comes from the Marauder Level 10 Alliance Gift or Devastator-5x. Opening this alliance gift gives you a Marauder Boost Mystery crate and Rebel Target Boost Mystery Crate offering elite boosts which could be 25k% boosts to troop attack, defence or health.

alliancegiftprize

Additional Information

Please remember that all other existing rebel target boosts can be utilised to help defeat these powerful rebel targets. hardtoill10_ink_liThis includes insignias, the rebel target attack boost, and the commander Rebel Target skill points. These level 10 rebel targets are incredibly difficult to kill and require massive amounts of energy (which costs massive amounts of gold) so they are not recommended for smaller players.

If you decide to take on one of these behemoths, it is wise to start off with single energy hits until you have maxed out your rebel target bonus streak. This will build up your commander attack bonus for subsequent hits. Once at your maximum streak level (depending on your rebel commander skill points), you can then use maximum, full energy attacks until the rebel is dead. Doing this will save you a lot of energy and maximize the return on the energy you do expend. If you don’t build up your streak, expect results like above.

VIP 120-130 offer two new building utilities, as well as a bountiful number of stats for rallies and other types of combat. While the new VIP does offer many other benefits, only the most notable improvements are listed.

  • One Click Building Boost – Level 123 of VIP unlocks the Instant XP Level button, which does exactly what it says. One click will automatically use building modifiers to instantly enhance the building to the next XP level.
  • Building Boost Manager – With Level 124, the Boost Manager is unlocked. This handy tool is found within the Headquarters, and is a page containing individual Building Boost data on all base structures. This includes the building’s XP level, all the bonuses the building gives, and a boost button for the specified building.
  • Troop Bonuses With just VIP 120, 4,000% Troop Attack, 600% Troop Health, and 600% Troop Defense are at one’s disposal. This dramatically rises to 14,000% Troop Attack, 1,000% Troop Defense, and 1,000% Troop Health with VIP 130.
  • Control Point + Rally Bonuses – In addition to troop bonuses, the new VIP levels provide a tremendous amount of combat boosts. For both rallies and the Control Point, VIP 125 gives 3,000% Health and 3,000% Defense. When VIP 130 is reached, these bonuses swell to 10,000% Health and 10,000% Defense.

More data on VIP 130 and all other VIP levels, such as point cost and other bonuses, are located in the extensive VIP Guide.

Mobile Operations, or Mobile Ops, are special missions to attack and cripple rebel forces. These missions are necessary, as salvage from the wreckage of fallen foes can be recovered to aid your cause. A Tank Commander must tread carefully; as the strength of the enemies increases as you advance.

Overview

img_3921

First of all, Mobile Ops revolves around the Tank Zone. This dangerous combat zone is home to powerful rebel combatants, increasing in difficulty with with each level. Fortunately, each advancement in level, a greater payout is awarded for completing the mission. Unfortunately, once level 3 is complete, all subsequent levels require their respective Clearance Cards to enter, which are obtained solely in gold sales.

The Tank Zone

img_3926

The goal of every operation is to locate the boss target, eliminate it, and proceed to the evac zone. This is accomplished by maneuvering with the large arrow buttons on the ground. Each advance consumes one move (top left), and every move takes the tank to a different sector. Moves slowly replenish for free or can be instantly refilled with moves items; both only possible when not in a level.

When navigating to the objective, a number of rebel targets will be encountered; they need to be dispatched before the tank can continue through their sector. The game is turn based, and through research you are able to increase the chance of firing first or getting off two shots in one turn. When you have not yet fired, a munitions option will appear; this will fire the auxiliary weapon. While normal shots are free, munitions shots consume ammo. The tank cannot move until either you or the enemy are defeated.

img_3896

There are a number of utilities to take note of in the Tank Zone. The “remaining” and Radar Map (top right) display how many crates and enemies remain in the level, and when previously encountered, where they were on the map. It is important to note that each enemy counts for one crate in the “remaining” display. The health and munitions bars (bottom) reset at the beginning of every operation. Munitions and Repair Kit items, found in the tabs just above them to the left, will replenish their respective bars when used. The final button to familiarize with is the Item Storage, right of the health bar. This contains loot gathered during the raid. The item storage capacity can be increased through research.

Research and Stat Shop

img_3922

Mobile Ops adds a wide variety of fancy new research nodes, and all require Mobile Ops Restricted Files. These nodes range from things like extra tank HP, to increasing maximum moves, and even upgraded munitions such as airstrikes. The most notable of these, however, are the Stat Shop Nodes. Each node has 10 levels of research, and each research level equates to one “rank” in the Stat Shop. The Stat Shop then further divides each rank into 10 different upgrades, which can then be further upgraded with Mobile Ops Credits. Every upgrade costs an increased amount Mobile Ops Credits, a valuable currency that is acquired in the Tank Zone.

Introducing Headquarters 23 to 26

The cap for the level of all buildings (inside and outside the wire/wall) has now been increased to level 26. This is a significant increase from the previous level cap of 22, which lasted for months. It is estimated that it will be at least three months before the cap is raised, but likely longer, as there are a significant amount of new base levels included in this one update. Most players are still trying to figure out what this update means for them, so hopefully this post helps clarify the impact of this new release.

How do you upgrade to HQ 23 and beyond?

First of all, to get in on the new action you will need a few things, including a ‘Headquarters 23 Blueprint’ which can only be obtained from sales of the largest pack Mobile Strike offers. You will also need trillions of resources (not including food) and over a million Legendary hammers. The picture below illustrates the requirements.hq23upgradereq

On launch day, the packs containing the aforementioned blueprint were available at a purchase price of £79.99. However, the day after the release a new pack was introduced offering it at a 20% discount, dropping the price to £63.99 as you can see.

What are the benefits of increasing the level of your buildings from 22?

There are numerous large benefits from upgrading to level 23 and up. From the blog post introducing this update key features include (all buildings at level 25):

  • Ability to see opponents research when scouting & 50% attack debuff on defense (Radar Station)
  • 35 million rallies with 75% additional rally attack bonuses (War Room)
  • 10% longer lasting core gear, and all crafting 400% speed boost (Armory)
  • 500% boosts to all troop attack, defense and health (Death Row)
  • 150% all troop attack boost per prisoner held (Prison)
  • Reinforcement capacity increased by 7 million and troop defense increased 50% (Embassy)
  • 40 extra commander skill points, and 25 extra rebel target skill points (Hall of Heroes)
  • 20% increase in all troop defense, 300% accuracy boost and 40,000 troop queue (Training Grounds)
  • 100% health boost and 200,000 capacity (Hospital)

  • Research awareness ability unlocked & 70% research speed boost (Research Facility)
  • Protect up to 1.61billion of each resource in attacks (Warehouse)
  • Significantly increased resource production and capacity for all resource producers outside the wall (but you’ll need trillions to upgrade the other buildings so you’ll be unlikely to be below the resource production cap)

What are the rewards for upgrading now?

There is currently the ‘Race to Headquarters 23’ challenge offering tier 3 prizes for upgrading to HQ 23. There is also the ‘Super Rare Challenge’ which offers rewards for upgrading HQ 23(100 points), research facility level 23 (50 points), radar station level 23 (50 points), HQ 24 (100 points) with prizes for tier 1 at 100 points, tier 2 200 points and tier 3 300 points. These challenges are likely to end shortly.

Who is this update for, and what does it suggest about the state of the game?

From a screenshot of a state’s control point one can see this update will primarily favour the biggest spenders who are willing and able to max out their Headquarters. Developers reducing the price of the pack by 20% the next day, and maintaining this lower price suggests that they are trying to analyse how many players will buy the pack. Hopefully, pack prices will be reduced, as although upgrading to HQ 23 along with a few other buildings is attainable with one pack purchase, going any further requires much more spending. With ever higher combat boosts being unlocked by the biggest players, the damage dealt by rally and solo hits will continue to rise so it is highly recommended to shield when offline if you’re hittable.
